Har Nof Promenade Jerusalem, 2012

ABOUT

The Har Nof Promenade is located in a predominantly Jewish Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem, situated five kilometers of west of the Old City, and is  surrounded on three sides by the Jerusalem Forest. The Promenade has been designed to address the special requirements of Har Nof’s residents: it connects the forest with the neighborhood, inviting residents to experience nature in a dense urban environment ; it relieves the shortage of recreational spaces in the neighborhood blessed with many children; and it provides and open space for gathering and community activities, especially critical during Shabbat, a time in which the religious traditions limit the residents ability to travel to other parks.
